Organizing life made simple by digitizing with 2nd Vault

What is My 2nd Vault?

2nd Vault provides a user experience as it will remove the thinking for the user as to where to begin the digital organization process.

Industry background

If a person doesn't have his important information in order, it is hard to know what he has, let alone where he can find it. In the event of one's unplanned absence, those closest to the individual can locate what he would want them to know without having to face searching through endless piles of paperwork to try and make sense out of things. Jaclyn Strauss, founder of 2nd Vault, realized that this scenario would not be ideal for anyone, whether a person is the "point" person in his household or not, an adult child of an aging parent, or simply someone looking for greater efficiency in his life today.

Why My 2nd Vault was created

The daily struggle of being a mother of young children is certainly not unique to Jaclyn Strauss of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Like many during the past year, Strauss was juggling full-timework, elementary-aged children, and the realities of the pandemic–all while trying to maintain her peace of mind. Strauss realized that she could turn the everyday struggles of pandemic parenthood into true community impact.

Strauss is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by professional training; however, she has been very diversified in her 19 years of professional experience ranging anywhere from being an accounting professor at Broward College, the PTA Treasurer of the local elementary school to a mid-level executive at a Fortune 100 company. Strauss's true passion, however, is for empowering others.

Her purpose? To show people that they can have the power through knowledge and simply asking for help and by leveraging a vital tool that she created to organize what is important to them digitally. For Strauss, this is the critical ingredient for true peace of mind.

The security aspect was one of the two pillars that Strauss committed to staying true to during development, in addition to knowing that time is money. She was a success as the platform has military-grade encryption, two-factor authentication, and a host of other measures. Strauss realizes that humans thrive when they have options, and that is what 2nd Vault provides.

These options include:

  1. Only include what the customer wants with nothing required.

  2. Upload digital copies of the customers documents or not.

  3. Free text where the customer keeps the physical copies of things if he is going to remind himself or those closest to him to avoid searching for the breadcrumbs later.

This service creates a complete memoir in a secure digital location that users can access quickly and easily with the added benefit of portability. "I know that taking action is the hard part, and sitting down to do this can sound daunting." This is why Strauss offers a community group virtually to coach people through the process and hold them accountable at no charge.

The objective is to keep the series accessible, affordable, and user-friendly for all. "I want to make sure that I keep the cost low, so that price isn't a barrier to anyone," Strauss said. The cost is $75/year with a 30-day free trial. Strauss appreciates that everyone wants to see and feel what they are subscribing to without having to fork up their credit card upfront.
