Where the effort actually goes

Read the profiles on this hub in order and a pattern shows up quickly: comparatively few of these companies are trying to invent new medicine. Most are attacking the distance between a clinical decision and the paperwork around it.

That is the largest single cluster here. Authsnap works denials on hospital claims. Zentist points robotic process automation at dental insurance billing. Xevant and Turquoise Health both work on cost from opposite ends, one inside pharmacy benefits and the other on price transparency and contract negotiation between providers and payers. Payment Integrity Partners and P3 Technology sit in the same territory.

Detection is getting cheaper before treatment does

The diagnostics companies here share a premise: the expensive part of a disease is finding it late. Universal DX is building a blood test for early colorectal cancer detection. OncoHost uses a single blood draw to guide oncology treatment decisions. ImpriMed applies the same logic to veterinary cancer care, and Healthtracka attacks the access side of it by moving lab testing into people's homes across Africa.

The specialty clinic, rebuilt as an employee benefit

A distinct model recurs: pick one condition badly served by general primary care, build a virtual clinic around it, and sell it through employers. Neura Health does this for chronic neurological conditions, Agave Health for adults with ADHD, and 9am.health for diabetes. Frame Fertility and Meno Collective reach employees through the same door.

Women's health is no longer a single category

Femtech once tended to arrive as one undifferentiated bucket. The companies here have split it apart: period care at Tulipon and Orchyd, cycle tracking hardware at FemTek, digital primary care at Femma, and menopause treated as a workplace issue rather than a personal one.

Caregivers as the second patient

The last cluster worth naming treats the carer as the person needing the product. Watch Our Own was built by a family caregiver for other caregivers. Givers helps unpaid carers find tax credits and support, and WIRL aims at burnout among healthcare workers themselves.
