Founder Carolina Bongers was raised bilingual and eventually mastered five languages, experiencing firsthand the personal, cognitive, and professional advantages that multilingualism provides. Wanting to give her own children the same gift, she quickly realized a major challenge: there were no truly engaging, playful methods for very young children to learn a second language.

With experience as a brand manager at The Walt Disney Company, Carolina knew that learning could and should be magical. Drawing from this expertise, she designed seven unique characters, each with distinctive traits, ensuring children could see themselves reflected in the stories. These characters became the cornerstone of Jungle the Bungle, offering a playful, relatable, and immersive learning environment.


Carolina initially launched multilingual children’s books, selling over 2,000 copies, which validated her approach and highlighted strong market demand. Recognizing the opportunity to scale, she teamed up with business partner Amber Stam, and together they launched a successful crowdfunding campaign to bring the Jungle the Bungle app to life. Their vision: transform play, stories, and music into a joyful, interactive way for children to discover new languages.
