HorseRecords is a SaaS product that provides market leading Horse Husbandry software for horse owners, horse businesses, horse associations and breed societies.
The Current Landscape
There are over 1.5 million horses in Australia and over 400,000 horse owners and over 5,000 horse businesses in Australia including breeders, trainers, agisters and re-homers.
Until now, none of them have a single place to store all the horse information that they can share with those that need it most: Vets, farriers and, most importantly, buyers.
Most competitors are vertical market products such as Vet software or software for horse Trainers. This software tends to be out of reach financially for most horse owners.
Company Birth Story
Some years ago Andy’s wife asked for an online system to record events for her horse stud, Chalani Australian Stock Horses.
Andy wrote a system for Chalani which was used for some years. He was encouraged to rewrite the system and provide it to other horse lovers.
The idea was born to develop the HorseRecords App, to bring all horse owners a solution that securely records all their horse information in one place and provides one true source of information.

Everything is present to record performance, veterinary, farrier, feeding, gear, dentistry, chiropractic, serving, foaling dates, photos, files, pedigree, progeny and much more!
As HorseRecords is 'in the cloud' there is no longer the chance of losing valuable records. No more lost notebooks or rubbed out white boards. Plus as customers can enter events as they happen into their mobile phone - no more accidentally forgetting on the way back from the stable!
HorseRecords also advises when the next farrier, worming, tetanus or dentistry is due.
HorseRecords is coded to be flexible so no matter what the discipline be it dressage, eventing, showing, campdrafting, racing, HorseRecords can be customised to your needs and requirements.
A Customer Story

In fact it is so good that Racing SA and Thoroughbred Racing NT have all retired racehorses entered into HorseRecords. SA’s largest Standardbred rehomer, and Australia’s largest independent AI facility use HorseRecords as part of ensuring the ethical care of horses.
The Team Culture
Andy Ide - Founder & Director
Andy is the Founder and the initial programmer of HorseRecords. Andy has been developing websites since 1999. Over those years he has run his own website business as well as working as a Senior Software Engineer for State and National companies within Australia.
