Company Birth Story


Bar None Games was founded in 2020, when the founders, Spencer Fertig and Lilian Chen, were supposed to attend their first year reunion at Harvard Business School, which suddenly went virtual.


As section President, Spencer was in charge of figuring out how to gather 90 of his classmates virtually in an authentic, genuinely engaging manner. He came up with a virtual version of bar-style trivia, and it was a hit. Classmates started asking for these virtual events to be hosted for their companies, and Bar None Games was born!


Three years later, Bar None Games has worked with 1,500 companies and created special memories for 100,000+ remote and distributed employees around the world. The company hit over $1 million in annual revenue in 2021, just one year after its founding.
